Maikuku (grand-daughter of Rahiri & Ahuati) Torongare (great-grandson of Rahiri & Ahuati)
Maikuku marries Hua-takaroa (m) – his parents are Maitu (m) and Paengatai (f). Maikuku & Hua-takaroa beget the following:
→ Te Ra (m) the founding ancestor for Ngati Rahiri
→ Rangiheketini (f) who married her nephew Te-Ao-ngaua (their son Tupuarangi founded Ngati Rangi hapu)
→ Kaiangaanga (m)
→ Torongare (m)
→ Ruangaio (?); only included in some whakapapa
→ Kao (m)
→ Ruakino (m) whose son, Te Taniwha, founded the Kaikohe hapu, Te-Uri-o-Hua
Torongare married Hauhaua. They begat the following:

→ Toru-kao (m)
→ Hineamuru (f), founding ancestor of Ngati Hine and Rongo-patu-taonga
WHAKARURU (wife of Rahiri) AND THEIR CHILDREN Kaharau-manawa-kotiti (son of Rahiri & Whakaruru)
Whakaruru begat the following:
→ Kaharau-manawa-kotiti (m)
→ Rongomai (m)
→ Tawaka-haunga (m)
→ Raparapa (m)
→ Tikitiki-Ngahuru (m)
→ Tangaroa-whakamautai (m)
Kaharau-manawa-kotiti had two wives: Houtaringa and Kohinemataroa
Houtaringa begat the following:
→ Tikitikingahuru I (m)
→ Rongomai Apu (m)
→ Taurapoho (m)
Kohinemataroa, daughter of Puna-te-Ariari (Rahiri’s sister and his aunt), begat:

Taurapoho (grandson of Rahiri & Whakaruru) Tupoto (great-grandson of Rahiri & Whakaruru)
Taurapoho had four wives:Whareanu, Ihenga, Kaiawhi and Ruakiwhiria
Whareanu

Ihenga begat the following:
→ Tikitikingahuri (m)
→ Mamae (m)
→ Tupoto (m) from whom every tribe north of Auckland can trace descent
Kaiawhi
→ no descendants found
Ruakiwhiria, daughter of Uenuku, who begat:

Tupoto had three wives: Kauwae and Tawakeiti (twin sisters whose great-grandfather was Uenuku) and Tutaerua
